Within less than two months following the launch of the Nokia 215, Nokia 225, Nokia 235, and Nokia 3210 2024, HMD Global has unveiled a new set of feature phones. Although the HMD 105 and HMD 110 essentially superseded the previous Nokia 105 and Nokia 110, HMD Global has completely abandoned the Nokia brand this time.

HMD recently produced a number of devices, including a number of feature phones with the Nokia name. To put things in perspective, the firm celebrated its 25th anniversary by presenting the Nokia 3210 2024, a reimagining of the original 3210, just more than a month ago. The Nokia 215, Nokia 225, and Nokia 235, all of which include USB Type-C connectors, LTE connections, and Snake, among other features, have also been available for purchase since late April.

Now, HMD Global has reversed course and unveiled new feature phones with its own logo as opposed to Nokia’s. In the end, the Nokia 105 and Nokia 110 (now $39.99 on Amazon) are superseded by the HMD 105 and HMD 110, which are approaching their third birthday. The HMD 105 and HMD 110 are similar in that they have a tiny display encircled by thick bezels and a 1,000 mAh battery that is certified for up to 18 days of use. That is about it.

Still, the HMD 105, like the Nokia 105 (now $34.99 on Amazon), will not include an LED flash array or a rear-facing camera. In addition, the two new feature phones will have a Micro USB connector and a 3.5 mm socket instead of their more adaptable USB Type-C counterparts. HMD Global has stated that both feature phones would enable the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), an instant payment system created by the National Payments Corporation of India, even though it has not yet confirmed many specs. There is currently no information on an international release for the HMD 105 and HMD 110, which are priced by HMD Global at INR 999 (~$12) and INR 1,199 (~$14), respectively.
