Huawei P60 and P60 Pro are expected to go on sale in March

Even though the Huawei P50 series was released in August of 2021, more than a year has passed, and the business is still working on a new P-series flagship. New information suggests that the Huawei P60 and P60 Pro will debut in March of this year and include upgraded cameras, displays, and batteries.

According to rumors, the Huawei P60 Pro will boast a 6.6″ 120Hz OLED display with a resolution of 1,440 x 3,200px as opposed to the P50 Pro’s 1,228 x 2,700px. High-frequency PWM dimming will be used (1,920Hz). A 32MP selfie camera will be inserted into the panel, which will be purchased from BOE.

The ultra-wide camera will be upgraded to a 50MP sensor while the back camera will have a 50MP main sensor (a new Sony IMX888) (possibly the IMX858, up from 13MP). Perhaps the same 64MP sensor is used for the telephoto lens (OmniVision OV64B).

Another configuration will be used in the standard Huawei P60. The 52MP IMX789, a 1/1.35″ sensor with 1.12 m pixels, should be used as its primary camera. A 16MP tele camera (IMX351) and a 50MP ultra-wide camera (IMX858) will be added to it.

The two phones’ cameras will use the in-house XMAGE imaging system. According to rumors, both phones will include the variable aperture that we saw on the Mate 50 Pro.

According to the same information, the P60 Pro will be powered by a 5,500mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging and a 4G Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU. In contrast, the P50 Pro has a 4,360mAh battery with a 66W/50W charging Snapdragon 888 4G processor.

It’s anticipated that the Huawei P60 series would incorporate several Mate 50 series features, including the screen’s Kunlun toughened glass (the phones will also have an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance). They should also support satellite communication, even though it may only have little support outside of China and uses the BeiDou constellation (as is the case with the Mate 50 phones).

Even while Huawei hasn’t officially announced the P60 series’ release date or even acknowledged its existence, if the March deadline is accurate, we should start receiving official information shortly.
