If a recent leak is to be believed, Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship phone may come with some cool improvements to the camera and battery. The rumor claims that the Xiaomi 13 Pro’s main camera will have a bigger Sony sensor and a larger battery than the Xiaomi 12 Pro.
We now have a solid understanding of what the forthcoming Xiaomi flagship phone has in store thanks to trustworthy leaker Yogesh Brar (via XDA Developers). According to the tip, the Xiaomi 13 Pro will include a 50MP main camera similar to the Xiaomi 12 Pro.

However, we might be looking at Sony’s 1-inch IMX989 sensor, which is also present on the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, a device available only in China. Given that the 12 Pro only has Sony’s IMX707 sensor, if this is true, the forthcoming flagship model should have a superior camera quality than its predecessor. Additionally, Xiaomi’s exclusive Surge C2 chipset is said to power the camera.
The alleged continuation of the cooperation between Xiaomi and Leica is yet another intriguing nugget of information from the source. The Xiaomi 13 Pro will sport the same Leica branding as the Xiaomi 12 series, the leaker claims. As a result, Xiaomi’s upcoming attempt to compete with the top Android phones is likely to feature enhanced optical design and calibrated color balance. Like the current model, the front camera is rumored to have a 32MP sensor.
Additionally, the Xiaomi 13 Pro might include a bigger battery. According to Brar, it will come with a 4,800mAh battery powered by a Surge P2 chip and capable of 120W fast charging. The 12 Pro, in contrast, has a 4,600mAh battery.
The following-generation phone may have the same specifications as its predecessor, including a 6.7-inch 2K LTPO display and the usual memory setups (up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage). It’s also expected that the future Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 from Qualcomm will be used in the gadget.
There is currently no information available on the device’s launch date, however, it is safe to assume that the 13 Pro will go on sale in December based on Xiaomi’s past launch timeline.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro has an eye-catching appearance, top-notch internal components, a gorgeous 120Hz AMOLED screen with quad speakers, and 120W wired / 50W wireless charging. Although the Xiaomi 12 Pro lacks an IP68 classification, its three 50MP cameras on the back provide excellent images in all lighting conditions.
